Still Working on Secret Project...

More of this challenge project yesterday. I wanted to work on it before I forgot what I had planned - I knew if I put it aside for another few months that I'd forget what I wanted to do. This is the completed back side. The front now only needs to more 2 border pieces stitched on and it will be ready to be trimmed and bound. Though I just might add a bit more quilting to it. And it will need a sleeve. This will finish at 24" square. Yes, the front side has LOTS more pieces than the back!

The challenge? We had to draw a fat quarter from a large bag - no peeking! Then we had to make a quilt from the fat quarter and any black and white fabric. The only color in the quilt is from our drawn fat quarter. No other fabrics should be in the quilt other than black and white. We must use most of our fat quarter. The quilt should measure at least 24" square, but no more than 48" I think.

I used almost ALL my fat quarter - wished I had more, but that's part of the challenge, right?

Tomorrow maybe I'll have something more interesting to share, but I'll be glad to have this one complete WAY ahead of schedule.

I hope to do some hand stitching today - I want to finish the last Farmer's Daughter block and get on with the triangles to go along the edges. And I wouldn't mind basting the 2nd Rowdy Flat Library Quilt block so I can begin the hand quilting on it. I'll just see where the day takes me!

Have a great one!
